bUmPdate::20 weeks

This pregnancy has not been my friend health-wise.  I ended my 19th week with losing my voice and a nasty sinus infection.  Still haven't found my voice and still haven't gotten over the sinus infection.  Next time ALL of your children are arguing try whispering over them.  See how that works.

Finally feeling like I have somewhat of a bump!!!

Tuesday Funday

Our day started with some free entertainment from the trash man.  He got stuck at the end of our circle, got unstuck and then made it to the front of our mailbox.  Where he promptly got stuck for good.  Eric was watching out the window and thought it looked like a guy he works with son.  He walked out there, to survey the situation, when he was ready to leave and it was.  Turns out he couldn't leave because the trash guy got stuck at an angle.  I was busy making pancakes and they were just talking out there so I figured they were waiting for help.  I texted Eric and told him to come in and grab some pancakes, so he did.  Then Chef came to get him out and got stuck in the neighbor's driveway.  Adelyn said we should all go outside and push them out.  I said we weren't big enough to help push them out.  Then she suggested going into the woods to find a giant to push them out.  Then decided she didn't want too because of the prickers in the woods.  I don't know where she comes up with this stuff.  Eric finally left around 9:40.

 Play-doh making was on our to-do list for the day.  While I was busy boiling the water B asked if he could peel the carrots.  At first I said no because peeler's can be sharp.  Then he just picked it up and started peeling.  Thanksforlistening.  So I went over and showed him how, since he WAS peeling towards himself.  *This is my dull peeler.  Not that that really matters.  But I just figured my kids can make themselves bleed on pretty much anything, so what does it matter?*  He actually peeled 5/6 carrots and then was done (mostly because his play-doh was ready).  Then Adelyn decided to pick it up and try her hand at it.  And promptly peeled the whole bag.  THIS is why we had kids.  Kidding.  Kind of ;)

B-diddy and his snowman.  Adelyn said I made him look like a "gentleman" with his hat.  Again, don't ask me where it came from.

We headed outside after naps because it was SUPER nice out.  I tried to snow-blow the end of the driveway.  No such luck.  It was too wet.  So I pushed it aside.  The kids thoroughly enjoy sliding off our hills.

The kids also begged to build a snowman.  We went for a little walk and they saw a few of the neighbors with snowmen.  So we came back and made one.  I rolled the bottom and Adelyn rolled most of the middle.  I had to roll it up to the snowman and my 19 week pregnant self struggled and heaved and hoed and got it up on top just for Adelyn to tell me I put it on wrong and I didn't have the flat side down.  She was right.  But I told her tough luck.  Then when I was shaping it, it cracked in half and fell off.  I almost cried.  So we pieced it back together.   Adelyn rolled the head and brought it to me.  Do you like the one random carrot on it's stomach?  Brecken and Joelle each wanted to put on in and we usually do make a front and back.  But that's where Brecken put it.  Adelyn started to get mad and B yelled at her "That's where I want it, so don't touch it!"  Duly noted.  Precisely what I would have said.  Maybe with less yelling.
187

Brecken having a fit because I asked him to come sit by the snowman.

 He decided to oblige.  In case you wondered, this snowman's name is Olaf.  Duh.

 Eric came home and decided to get the snowblower to work.  You like that he's dragging the broom along with him to jam into the auger when it gets stuck?  Yeah.

We were outside until 6:15 and had a blast.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel, folks.  MARCH is next week.  That's what *I* keep telling myself.

Valentines Day

We had a wonderful Valentines Day.  Adelyn had been counting down the days until "Heart Day."  She knew that we were doing something fun and I had hearts all over that day, on the calendar.  We started the morning off with a little play date at our friend Mary's house.  She had a great Valentines party planned for them.  We had finished our cards the night before and the kids LOVED filling them out.

Adelyn and Kailyn playing with chocolate play-doh.

There was also a station to decorate your own cup cakes.  I think that was the kids favorite one ;)

The kids got all kinds of Valentines from their friends.  They had so much fun opening them and putting them in the little mailboxes Nana got them.

When Daddy got home we headed out for our annual winter trip to the beach.  We got out and climbed around on some of the ice hills.  The kids LOVED it.  Side note: There is so much snow at the beach that the snow fences are almost covered.  You can just see the tops poking through.  We just walked right over them.

We went home and had ordered some GF Crust 54.  Oh, that hit the spot.  After the kids were in bed, I made molten lava cake with raspberries for my biggest lovie and I.

Snowmageddon Take 2::Winter Fun

This was our deck after our second (third, fourth, I've lost count) snowmageddon.  January 27.  So much snow.
003

We can no longer get to our back yard through the fence.  That's our trailer buried somewhere next to the snow piles.  The one year we didn't store it inside...or get a cover for it.  Eric is stating a cover wouldn't have mattered because they aren't made for the temperatures we have had.  I'm still stating he's in deep doo-doo if we have friends inside our trailer come spring.

Crazy cutie

This is what the friendly neighborhood plow dumped at the end of our driveway.  So that was awesome.
020

The kids are always asking to help shovel so Eric picked them up some kid shovels.  They love helping their Daddy.

February 11:: We headed out yesterday to burn off some energy in the backyard.  First up::shoveling out our deck.  It's buried under there somewhere..
139

I came outside to this lovely picture.  Joelle got stuck in the toy box and Brecken was trying to shovel her out.  I laughed.  When I came back with the camera, Adelyn yelled at me "It's not funny! Don't take her picture!!"  Bahahahaha.
138

Our "snowbox" and playset.  You can see that the snow is covering half of the play house.  The kids just slid right in.
143

My garden is buried under there.  You can see the fence against the house.  It also runs all along the front.  Not that you can see it because its buried in snow.  It's 3 feet tall.
144

Our shoveled off deck.  It was a half-hearted attempt.  But it's better than what it was.  You can also see Adelyn inside the slider.  Sent in early because she had a horrid attitude and refused to change it.  Have fun inside.  By yourself.
145

Cuties playing in the snow.  They had so much fun.  For being a balmy 7 degrees it was actually quite nice.  It's amazing what a little sun and no wind will do for you.

Woke up this morning and snapped this shot when I got to the chiropractor.  I'm not going to lie.  I'm quite sick of the negative temperatures.  BUT, in the 6 weeks I've been going to the chiro, this is the FIRST morning the roads have been clear.  It always seems to snow the night before I go.  Or every.single.night.

bUmPdate::18 weeks

 Nothing exciting or traumatic to report this week.  My first "boring" week.  Except I need to find a new spot to take pictures.  I either have a shadow on my back or a shadow on my front.  I tried standing further away.  No such luck.
150
Highlights::
How far along:: 18 weeks
Heartbeat:: 140 today at the doc.  It's been upper 130's-mid 140's on mine.
Clothes:: Both.  Eric told me to stop being a hero and pull out my maternity jeans.
Weight Gain:: 5lbs.  I can not win with the doc's office.  There scale only has me up 3lbs.  Which would then be only 1lb from where I started given all my losses.  Whatever.  She felt my belly and said "Ooohhh you ARE growing!  Your uterus is right where it's supposed to be."  Why thank you.  MY scale says I'm getting larger by the day.
M ovement:: Quite a bit!  I've felt the baby on the outside quite a few times.
Symptoms:: Tired.
What I miss: Nothing right now.
Cravings:: Eggs.  Baked potatoes.  Bread.
Best moments this week:: Feeling this little baby all.the.time.
What I am looking forward to:: US in 2 weeks!
Names:: 2 boy names.  2 girl names.
Funny Moments:: Adelyn asked me if the baby was going to come out with 2 teeth. "No.  Babies don't need teeth when they are born.  They get them later."  "Oh. She won't have two teeth?"  "Nope.  Babies don't eat food.  They only drink milk."  "From your belly?"  "Welllll something like that."  End of conversation.

A’s 5th Birthday Party

My poor sweet girl.  Come February I am so sick and tired of parties that I *almost* don't do one for her.  Her only saving grace, at this point, is that she is old enough to be super excited for these things.  Everybody got their invitations about a week ago.  Whoops.  Thankfully everyone could make it!  It was one heck of a morning with these kiddos, one whom has a cold hence me not going to church, while Eric pranced off merrily to fulfill his commitments AT church.  Nobody was listening, everybody was uber annoying and, at one point, I asked everybody to chill out and stop bugging each other.  Adelyn responded with "I'm just sooo excited, Mommy!"  Cutie.  We actually debated canceling her party because of said sick child.  J just has a cold with clear snot and a mild cough but I don't like to be the sick-giver and I don't like sick people around my grandparents.  Eric said to move forth with it (so blame him if you get sick) because Adelyn would be too upset.  Which I don't think she would have because I had already warned her, but I digress.  This morning, after everything was all made, I also wanted to cancel.  J's cough turned more annoying during the night.  I just decided to put her down for a nap right before people got here and wake her up right before cake.  She realllllly wanted to see the cake so I couldn't let her miss that.  She actually went down without a fight and the party went well.

My sweet girl and her pile o presents.

Fancy Nancy books from Oma and a card with stickers! from Papa and Nana. 117
122

She opened the bath mat on the left first.  Everyone was confused and laughing as to why she got a bath mat.  Then my mom explained that it was "water" to go with the boat.  Then we all got it...and thought it was an excellent idea ;)

The music/jewelry box that she has wanted for a REALLY long time.
124

Apparently Brecken wants a ballerina box too.
128

Adelyn requested a Little Mermaid cake this year.  Which is ironic because we do not like the Little Mermaid.  "It's too scary."  She loved it.

Close up of the Ariel cake.
113

Saturday night's mess.  Complete with practice writing straight on the table.  This is only about half of the mess because Eric had already washed a lot of my mixing bowls.  I decorate the cake.  Eric cleans up.

Happy Birthday precious girl.  Cheers to many changes over the coming year :)
