M.M. & S.S.

My Men & Sick Saturday.
Eric was fixing our bathroom door and Brecken saw Daddy with his tools.  B has a little toolbox he got from my parents last Christmas.  I saw B run into the living room, grab his hammer and run back to Daddy.
Such a sweet, sweet picture.

We *finally* caught Josh's cold.  He's only been home for 2 1/2 weeks and has had a cold the whole time.  Jojo woke up this morning with a runny nose so I was determined to push probiotics and healthy food.  I am pretty sure I boiled every single thing in chicken broth and added it when something called for water.
Heart shaped carrots.  Inspired via Pinterest.  Homemade Spaghetti-O's.  These are soooo good.  Again.  Via Pinterest.  I did add a bunch of shredded zucchini and carrots to the sauce and blended it all up.

The Perfect Day.

We started out the day getting ready to go to Nana’s house.  We had plans at night to go to my Grandma’s for supper and then my mom asked us to go sledding in the morning.  I decided to stay at my mom’s so we didn’t have to go back and forth so many times.  The morning started in our pantry, we had fun sledding at Nana’s and ended with a delicious supper.

Ever since I turned our lockers into actual lockers for shoes/coats, instead of lockers to store all of my kitchen necessities, the kids have LOVED playing in them.  Cracks me up every time.February2013 124

Cutest kids ever.February2013 127

We had the whole sledding hill to ourselves.  I can’t believe how much the kids loved it.  Particularly Joelle.  She has really been surprising me lately.  She is never a daring person and I thought she would hate being outside with the snow.  She has been loving it and she loved sledding the most.

This was the pout we got after the spray.  I asked if she wanted me to take a picture of it and she said yes.  Then she stopped pouting.February2013 166

What a trooper Joelle is.  She walked up this hill all by herself. February2013 168

The look on Josh’s face is priceless.                                          Such a cute picture.

MNO::Olive Garden & Ice Skating

Our former book club, now Mother's Night Out, started going to a different restaurant a month.  We decided to do A-Z for restaurants and we are on "G" this month.  Tiff brought up ice-skating and we decided to throw that in there too.  So.much.fun.  Our friend Joy had two cousins in town.  They decided to brave our group of cooped up women and join us.  For whatever reason our food took foooorever to come out and we didn't leave Olive Garden until 8:30.  Rosa Parks closed at 9:30 but we figured about half an hour was all our old child birthing bones could take anyways.

Momma Al and I.  The only two of us crazy ladies to have 3 children...in 2 (for me) and 2 1/2 (for her) years.  And we both have a set of twins.  Yep.  We are certifiably insane.

Former book club, now MNO, minus 1.  For some reason our friend, who is 7 months pregnant, did not want to go ice-skating.. ;)  I *almost* refrained from putting this picture in.  For purely vain reasons.

Ice-skating was sooooo much fun.  Eric refuses to take me (he's afraid to try new things) < I'm not a little bitter about that or anything.  I don't think I have laughed that much in a long time.  Some of us were veteran ice-skaters (ha ha ha) and others...well, maybe not so much.

Steph and Sarah.  They had to run out before the rest of us and get a few laps in.  They were practicing their skillllllls.

Can I get a matching red hat and coat and
look this good?!  Pleasssssssssssse.                                               Sarah.  She's pretty much a pro.

Posting this one because I DON'T look like the Amazon Lady.

Tiff.  She's strutting her stuff.  Just showing you all how good she will look with her walker in 60 years.

Like I said.  Looking good with the walkers.

Amazon Lady.  Love them all.

I think Claire, Sarah and I missed the memo we were supposed to make a crazy face.. Hum.

So blessed to call these girls my friends.  What a wonderful time.

Rogalske Family Pictures

We had to have some family pictures scheduled while Josh was home!  It's been a long time since we had them done.  We had them scheduled for Saturday and earlier in the week I was praying for snow.  All of our previous snow had melted and there was a nice muddy backdrop.  God hear me...and brought 14 inches.  It was 20 degrees out on Saturday and we wanted to do them with just clothes on.  I had the kids in about 3 layers.  The girls had boots on but little B's boots were not covered by his jeans, so the poor boy just had shoes on.  We did them at VanRaalte and the scenery was beautiful.  I came loaded up with Smarties, per usual, and I had to break them open right from the get go.   I told Felicia the most important picture was the entire family one and then we could go from there.  The second we got the whole family lined up Adelyn went into freak-out mode.  I started getting pissed, paused, crouched down to her level and talked her off the ledge.  Eric said he was uber impressed I got her to stop.
We did get a couple shots of the birthday girl (which I am saving for her 4 year blog post) but here is a little teaser :)

One of my parents.  Doesn't my Mom look great?!  She has lost a lot of weight.

The whole family.  So impressed how this turned out.  The kids were not having anything to do with smiling but they are looking and they are not crying.  Win, win.

My pretty birthday girl and I.  She needed some more coaxing.  Tears in her eyes but she still had a smile.

Nana and Jojo

Too much cuteness in one picture.  I can't stand it.

Uncle Josh!  Can't believe how quickly these kiddos have attached to their uncle.

My poor sister.  She was a popsicle.  Love this one.

Everyone loves their Auntie.  I get asked almost every day where Auntie is.

This last one pretty much sums it up.  I wanted one with the three of them but told Felicia to do it last because the others were more important.  This is what we got::
Screaming, and I mean SCREAMING, Brecken, non-caring Joelle and zombie Adelyn.

Poor little B screamed for the next 30 minutes.  I kid you not.  He was frozen.  His feet didn't warm up alll night.  I turned the heat up in the house, put him in footie pajamas and socks.  Poor dude.
Oh well.  It was totally worth it.
