Resurrection Gardens

I've been wanting to make Resurrection Gardens with the kids for a couple years.  I've never been collected enough to make them in time for Easter.  I was on my A-game this year.

Having lots of fun with these little lovies.

Finished product!  The only thing I helped with was tying the twine around the crosses.

A, B and J were taking a moment with a TV show.  I was doing laundry.  Then I hear banging.  Which sounds distinctly like terra cotta on wood.  I race upstairs to this.

And while I was speedily putting  the Gardens back together, Lincoln raced to the pantry to dump out all our pasta.  Awesome-ness.

Brecken was so, so excited when he woke up and saw grass 5 days later!!  Eric is convinced we need to put this grass seed all over our back yard :)

February Phone Dump

Oh he is the sweetest.

Real men help with chores.

Meg's Playhouse fun

Sleeping Lincoln.  #SorryNotSorry

One of his sisters gave him this scratch.  Right before church.  He walked into Sunday School and his teacher said "Ohhhh did you get a new cat?!"  I replied "Yes, her name is Adelyn."  She laughed hysterically.

Real men also paint their toes.

Lincoln was ticked while I was making supper.  So I gave him the VS catalog thinking he would like the big boobs.  He wailed.  They probably scared him.

Oh dear.  My children did this without my knowledge.  Our poor neighbors....

They have loads of fun

Valentines pancakes.  Don't judge my butter consumption.

Adelyn was PISSED OFF one morning because of her clothes.  We told her we would not wash her clothes until she wore them all.  Because she would wear the same 5 things if we let her.  She told me "I look like a mom with yoga pants and a hooded shirt."  I laughed hysterically.

Those baby blues though.

One Wednesday I took these cuties to Hemlock Crossings.

Buffalo Bill.  In his favorite spot.

Oh Lincolnnnnnn

Is it weird I still sneak upstairs and take pictures of them napping?

Eric thinks his hair is neglected...

Cooking risotto with Brecken.  It is his favorite meal ever.  Every time I go to the store (once a month) he begs me to buy Aborrio rice.

Lincoln doesn't mess around.  The day after our floor was installed he shattered my crock pot top on the floor.  One tiny scratch.

I picked up the kids from Sunday School and the teacher pulled me aside and said "Uhhh I asked the kids what this was (pointing to the thing in the bottom right corner) and Joelle yelled "It's a penis."  I was horrified.  Sunday School teacher was laughing.  Upon further examination by lots of friends, it was determined this is actually a scroll.

Homeschool Field Trip::Fire Station/Valentine's Party

We went to the Fire Station in Zeeland for our field trip this month.  Fireman Dan lead the show.

Adelyn is practicing what she would do if she was asleep in her bed and the fire alarm went off.
Crawling to the door with Fireman Dan.

Josiah got to try on all their fire gear.

Practicing Stop, Drop and Roll.

We got to climb on the Fire Truck after.  That was a hit :)

Sweet girls.  Sorry your eyes are closed Ella!

Then they each got to drive the truck.  Brecken wants to be a fireman now.

All the kids :)

They got all kinds of goodies to take home.

Mary had us over, afterwards, for a Valentines party.

Mary and I were wondering what kind of Valentine's Party we were having....

Opening all their cards

HSP Hiking

It was a relatively warm Saturday.  We decided to burn off some of our energy with a hike to Mt Pisgah.  Eric was terrified Brecken and Joelle would fall off the ledge.  Even though we were holding onto them.  You can see Adelyn's hat and Lincoln's glove.  Winning.

This tree just recently fell.  Eric thought he could shove it down the hill.  He couldn't.

I stilllll pack Buffalo Bill on my back.  And he stilllll likes it.

Crazy cuties

Lake Michigan, oh how I love you.
