Lincoln::1 Year Pictures

We went to get this little guys 1 year pictures taken.  The mosquitos were the most memorable part.  Oh.my.word.  They were so bad.  I had to take a shower when we got home.  I was covered in welts.  I showered all the kids too.  Eric, meanwhile, had one bite.  Lincoln, thankfully, got the least, after Eric.

This was our Christmas card picture.   Eric wants (and I agree) to get fewer professional pictures taken.  If we are completely honest, they can be expensive.  We have had so many done 1. Because we keep having lots of kids.  2.  Babies change.  A lot.  I told him we would use a picture from this session for our Christmas card.  Sometimes photographers run specials in the fall and then I get all excited and want to do those too.  We are going to start putting the kabosh on all our pictures.  ;)

I had to promise Adelyn a cookie to wear these pants.  She HATES them.  H A T E S.  She was pissed when I told her she had to wear them.  I quickly promised a cookie because I didn't want a tantrum.  And, because, family pictures.  Any kind of "wiggly" pant and she's out.  Any kind of wiggly shirt, for that matter, and she's out.  But she'll wear dresses all the live long year.  But no dresses with wiggly sleeves.  Argh.

What a stud muffin.

Oh the mosquitos.  I wish you could have heard the kids.  It was so bad.  Adelyn's swatting, Joelle's all scrunched up and that's Brecken's "get me out of here" face.

I covet his hair.

Sunlight.  Less mosquitos.  Happier kids.

I adore this picture.

And this one.  We are doing a camping/fishing theme for Lincoln's birthday.  I thought it would be really cute to get the boys "fishing" with some poles.  Eric was hyperventilating with Lincoln sitting on the edge of the dock.

The sweetness.

My grandma made this blanket for Lincoln when he was born.  He has some of his newborn pictures with it too.

He is such a JOY.

Birthday cake for a birthday boy.  Gluten, dairy, egg, nut free.  AND it tastes amazing.  Amen.

His wispy hair.

He is such a hoot.

This is one of my faves too.

Boulder Ridge/Father's Day

We spent our Father's Day at Boulder Ridge.  You would think I got a picture of the man we call Daddy.  But I didn't.  Oh well.  The aviary is always a hot topic.  Despite their scared faces they loved it and didn't want to leave.

Ahahahahahaha

There's my cuties.

This is what Lincoln did.  Try not to be surprised.

Pool Day

We are lucky to have friends with a pool ;)  That's the kind of friends with benefits you want to have.
Jumping in.  Cracks.me.up the way Kaleb's legs are flung to the side.

This is about as close to the water as Joelle likes to get...  She likes it but doesn't like it when it's cold or when her face gets wet.

 Their goggles are hilarious

They loved holding hands and jumping in.

Lincoln has not met water he doesn't like.

A day wouldn't be complete without Amos kisses :)

Swim Lessons

We signed up with swimming lessons with one group of friends and ended up there with two groups of friends!  Fun times.  The girls were so excited to be in the same group.  For the final lesson., parents can stay and watch the progress that was made.

Adelyn is quite insistent that going underwater doesn't happen unless if you have goggles.  I had her do most of her lessons without them.  For the final one I let her take them.

 Floating

This sweet boy.  1 month to 1 year.  Oh so sad.

These sweet girls are great friends.

B diddy has NO fear.

Adelyn does great jumping in...with her goggles ;)

I'm not sure what happened to Joelle in these...  I think I tried to get her but her group was over on the step so I couldn't really get a good picture.  Next time, little lady, next time.

May Phone Dump

Had to step outside to get a picture of the blooms on our Eastern Redbud

We all hate pickles.  Except for this kid.  Seriously can't find something he won't eat.

I will probably be snapping these pictures when he is 12.

Adelyn's last day of school for HC2.  We may or may not be a little behind in math.  Whoops.

New truck.

:)

"New" van.  He is so excited.

Park day with my lovies

They were saying it was too bright.  So I told them to smile with their eyes closed.

Here comes trouble..

We had a laundry fiasco.  50 pieces of clothes with green crayon melted all over them.  Thankfully I got most of it out.

We have to park in the back now.  It's a long ways to the door.

I took the kids to the farmers market and we had some slushes.  They sat in the grass while I fed Lincoln.

Memorial Day parade.

Brecken was helping me clear up some brush behind the fence.  That kid has better hair than most women.

This kid.  Always crawling over something.  He was not pleased I stopped to take a picture.

Again.  He's lucky I had just washed the trash can.

Went for a hike one morning.  They wanted to make it all the way up the big hill.

We found a swan's nest.  There were 4 baby swans.  The two white spots are the momma and daddy.  So pretty.
