Fitz'isms

I was writing some things down for Adelyn to copy...
A: You connected those letters together.  I do not know how to do that.  You have to do it the right way.

A: I was Elsa, Joelle was Anna and Brecken was Olaf.
B: What were Mommy and Daddy?
A: The trolls.

Me: What are you going to buy with your money?
B: Crackers that are not gluten free

B: I want my hair long like Mommy's and Adelyn's.
Nana: How about short like Daddy's?
B: No!!! Then it will start falling out!!!
A: I want a boy.
Me: You keep telling people you want a girl.
A: Well, I want a girl.  But I really want a boy so we can have 2 boys and 2 girls.

A: Who is the tooth fairy?
Me: Who do you think the tooth fairy is?
A: God
Me: Do you think God will bring you money?
A: Nooooo
Me: Who brings your presents?
A: People
Me: So who do you think the tooth fairy is?
A: Mommy and Daddy!
Me: Yup :)
A: Will you take my tooth away?
Me: Yes
A: Can I have it back?  I really want to put it in my jewelery box where I keep my special things.

Me: I have to go to the bathroom when we go into the store.
B: You are not allowed to go to the bathroom!  You should have gone before we left the house!  You will have to wait.
(So that's how I sound)
Me: Well, I always let you go if you have to go really bad, right?
B: {Grumbling}

A:Why is that policeman sitting there?
Me: He's watching for somebody to go really fast and then he will pull them over and give them a ticket.
A: Why?
Me: There are rules for how fast you can drive on the road.  When you disobey them, he punishes you by giving you a ticket.  Mommy and Daddy would have to pay money if he gave them a ticket.  See those white signs with numbers?  Those tell us how fast we can go.
.....on the way home.
A: Mommy!!!  You are going 66!!!  It's 65!!!  You need to slow down!!!!
Me: Well....you can go a little faster.  Just not a lot.
.....a little while later.
A: Mommy!!!  You are going 80!!!  The sign just said 70!!!  He is going to give us a ticket!!!
I never should have taught her to read signs.

Lincoln::8 months

Can you believe this little man is *8* months?!  Me either.  Probably because he already feels like a toddler.  And looks like one too.

-22 pounds on the scale at home.  Bigger and longer than any of the other kids were at ONE YEAR.
-switched you to a rear facing upright car seat.  You were getting too long for the baby seat.  Your feet hung out the end.
-12 month/12-18 month clothes
-size 3 diaper during the day, 4 at night.
-you nurse 5/6 times a day.  Usually 5.  Somewhere around 8:30, 12:30, 4:30 and 7:30.  Then once in the middle of the night.  Eat around 6 ounces of food at supper and are just starting to do a lunch of cut up banana, peaches or black beans.
-so hard to find foods that you can work on your pincher grasp with.  Cheerios and the like are out of the question.  I thought of black beans but all you want to do with those is throw them on the floor...unless I feed them to you with a fork.  Not too worried.  Most certainly something you will pick up on, someday.
-not picky at all.  Will eat anything.  Made chicken soup the other day.  Pureed it up, you gobbled it down.  Anything green goes straight down the hatch.  You get super excited when I pull our your applesauce though ;)
-still are amazing at sitting and playing.  So happy.
-you have mastered pulling yourself out of a sit and onto your belly.  The backwards crawl is mastered.  You also have a mean army crawl, when you are motivated.  Your downward dog is excellent.  Need to work on forward motions next.
-you are starting to reach for people...erm...me.
-you nap twice a day.  Sometimes you nap in the car a third time.  Just depends where we are and what we have done that day.
-you adore your blanket
-love to take bathes
-no paci
-will take a bottle like a champ
-haven't sucked your thumb in a while...so strange
-you CONSTANTLY turn your wrists.  Constantly.
-NO teeth
-love, love, love to laugh
-still have food sensitivities.  I strictly avoid gluten.  Avoid most dairy.  I am pretty hooked on Kerrygold butter now.  I usually eat it for a couple days and then take a break for a couple days.  That's the max on dairy ;)  I can always tell when I eat one to many Larabars too.  Your face will all break out in a rash...
-still have lots of poop issues.  A mixture of STRONG probiotics, prunes and black beans are keeping it in check.

All the bebe's at 8 months.

Lincoln::8 Month Pictures

We got this sweet boys 8 month pictures taken.  We don't have a ton of professional pictures of him so I wanted to get some done before his 1 year.  The last time we had them done was when we did family pictures at 3 months.  I am not quite sure what his deal was but he was in a terrible mood.  We got a couple of him smiling and a couple of cute ones of all the kids.  So I can't be hating.

Look at all that cuteness.

Brotherly love.

Adelyn is really good at smiling.  But sometimes she gets this glassy face when we are doing pictures and we have to snap our figures at her to get her to smile a little more real ;)

This girl loooooooooooooves her baby brother.

Sweet girl reading her siblings a book.  Eric hates these kinds of pictures.  I love them.

He was quite bored with us.

But is so, so cute.

Those blue eyes.  They are the cutest.  All of our kids have amazing eyes.  There.  I said it.

A smile!

Have to get some nakey pictures while he is still young enough.

Auntie made him this hat.  He looks like a little garden gnome.

He was through with us.  He's all "I'm naked.  Stooooooop."

Why can't it be cute for adults to have butt dimples?  Probably because we don't go parading our naked butts around anyways.

Eric's mom's cousin Mary Lynne has made each of our kids a knitted something.  I've gotten pictures of all of them with their handmade things.  He doesn't look so thrilled...but he's pretty cute.

Here's a better one.

I loved this stool.  But L was done.
