February Phone Dump

Nothing like a great way to start the month.  Yay.

Birthday pancakes for a birthday girl.  Don't tell anyone.  When I put the candles in, all the wax on the bottom melted.

Had to spend an hour getting two new tires on the van.  We had two old tires on the front of the van and 2 new tires on the back from me hitting a horrid pot hole this spring.  Great for stopping the van.  Not so great for getting going while stopped.  I sent Eric a text after a bad snowstorm and said order me new tires.  Now.  So he did.  This little turkey sat in his seat the whole time we waited.  I read books to the bigs.

Next time he might want to make his turn a little wider.

There were days when the wind chill was in the negative 30's.

Adelyn discovered some really cool math games on our cash register.  They were actually really decent.

Birthday outfit from Auntie Carol and Uncle Steve.  Summer outfit but she had to wear it now.  So we threw a jean jacket over top and put on some tights and called it good.

Spring Craft

I was so disgusted looking at all the snow on our deck that I declared spring crafts from here on out.  We saw some egg carton flowers that were really cute and got to work.  The best part?  It would take a couple days to do it.

The finished product!!!  I duct taped them to the slider because I am so sick of looking at all that snow.  That is also a frog sunbathing underneath it.

We did the egg cartons and painted our boards one day, painted the egg cartons with a glue and glitter mixture the next, put our buttons all on the next day and then glued the egg cartons to the board, put the stems and bow on the last day.

Lincoln::7 months

Hard to believe this little dude is over the 6 month hump.  He continues to amaze us with how happy he is.  I know I say it all the time....but everyone else does too.  He is a trooper.  He gets dragged everywhere and everyone is always poking him.  One of these days, I'm guessing in about 18 months, we will pay for this easy going baby with an extremely willful toddler.  Eep.  I will cherish these days:)

-I stepped on the scale with you and you were about 21 pounds!!! Holy moly.

-need to check your length.  You are closing in on being too long for your baby seat.

-12 month clothes

-size 3 diaper during the day, just switched to a 4 at night because you peed through 2 nights in a row.

B and J's feeding schedule

-you love to eat! i nurse you at 7, 12 and 7:30. you eat breakfast around 8:30 (4ozs), lunch at 1 (4ozs) and supper at 5:30 (6-8ozs).

-your feeding schedule: Nurse. Every 4 hours during the day.  Usually once a night. Sometimes twice.  Rarely never.  You were on the 8, 12, 4 and 8 schedule.  Then you got a cold.  We are back to whenever floats your boat.  You get 4 ounces of food at night.

-you LOVE to sit and play with toys.  Toys that aren't baby toys seem to be your favorite.  You do have a bath book that you could suck on allllll day long.

-the jumperoo is a favorite

-you are starting to develop a Mommy disorder.  It usually only comes out when you are tired.  And?  Daddy can always take you and you don't cry.  We have never had that:)  #4thchildsyndrome

-you still nap 2-3 times a day.  You take really good naps too.  That's what makes it ok that you wake up in the middle of the night.

-You had your first cold about a week ago.  I prayed and prayed you would be breathing through your mouth when you got your first cold.  Literally a week after that started, you got sick.  It wasn't a bad one and our oils helped immensely.

-you are also becoming weird about your blanket.  You suck on the corners.  I was rocking you the other day and realized they were all crusty from you sucking on them.  Gross.

-you are loving bathes.  You sit up in the tub and will just whack the water with your hand.  Over and over.  It's hilarious:)

-still the occasional thumb sucker.  It's the cutest thing ever.

-you are starting to show signs of crawling.  When you are on your belly you pull yourself forward with your arms.  When sitting you have been getting your foot behind you and trying to pull yourself forward.

-your mannerisms remind us SO much of Adelyn as a baby.  The constant turning of the wrists especially.

-still no teeth

Valentines Day

We did our traditional "Go to the beach on Valentine's day date."  Eric and I went out to Public the night before.  Valentine's Day we took the kids to the beach and ordered Crust 54 for takeout.  We had been hoping to take them out and climb around on the ice.  As you can see, it was slightly windy.  And by slightly, I mean horrifically.

So glad everyone is happy and healthy.  So much to be thankful for.  5 lovies.  We have officially been together for just over 11 years.

Adelyn’s Party

We had a birthday party for this sweet girl.  We ended up with a smaller party because we had some sick guests.  It was quite nice.  She was SO excited for her party.  It's kinda hard for her when Brecken and Joelle's birthday rolls around.  She feels a little left out.  Sometimes I feel like we go overboard with her, to compensate, but such is life.

It was the year of Lego's.  This girl adores Lego's.  She puts the sets together and takes them apart and puts them together....and takes them apart.  We wanted to get some loose Lego's, too, so she could make things up.  She looooooooooooves them.

Her party was on a Sunday and I always get to pick clothes on Sunday.  She informed me that since it was her birthday she got to pick.  This is her current favorite outfit ever.  It IS super cute.  But I am really sick of looking at that skirt.  She has been informed it is going to be taking a vacation in my closet soon.  She told me that was fine because then she would get her yellow one back.  Great.  I can't wait.
